How often do you travel, get outside your comfort zone? Believe it or not, I’m not a huge fan of travel, but I do see the value in it.
Traveling not only helps introduce us to new cultures and ways of seeing things, but it helps get us outside our routines by removing the environmental cues that cause use to stick to our daily habits.
It can also help put your life in perspective and give you a big picture overview on where you’re stuck and what you need to do next. Not to mention, when you come back you’ve loosened the connection between your habit neurons and it can use it as an opportunity to remove your bad habits and start some good ones.
Travel isn’t something that should be viewed as a luxury, but rather as a mindset. In his book, Vagabonding
, author Rolf Potts explains how traveling is something available to anybody and how it can have a profound impact on your life.
“Having an adventure is sometimes just a matter of going out and allowing things to happen in a strange and amazing new environment - not so much a physical challenge as a psychic one.” -Rolf Potts
🍺 to a great week ahead!
