Happy Week 29!
Over the past week, I’ve been pondering how I can improve some of the social interactions I’ve had in the past as I’m not necessarily known for always being a glowing ball of positivity.
In fact, a recent article in the NYTimes
brought up that one of the best secrets to living a long and healthy life is to have a social network of positive and encouraging friends.
As quoted by Jim Rohn who said “You are the average of the five people you most associate with
”. has been demonstrated with actual research to be true. Your friends can have a huge impact on your behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. They’ve already demonstrated in prior studies that loneliness can be just as bad as smoking
in terms of its impact on your health.
I’ll be spending some time in the next week giving How to Win Friends & Influence People
a re-read in the next week. I’m sure that you, like myself, desire to be the best version of ourselves to help the people around us live a long, happy and healthy life.
Cheers to a great week ahead,
